Moving ImagesAbout the CollectionResearchers have discovered the value of the pictorial record in the formulation of a fuller understanding of our cultural history. The archival moving image collection at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center documents a diversity of subjects of interest to researchers, from the history of the University of Connecticut to the activities of businesses in the state and the lives of activists, among others. These documents include amateur films, home movies, educational films, television commercials, public service announcements, game film, and oral histories in the form of 16mm film, video reels and tape.
