Photographic CollectionAbout the CollectionThe researcher of today will find the photograph to be as important a historical document as the written word. Pictorial documents can provide evidence of historical events, illustrate the lives of people, document the history of businesses, serve as valuable works of art and offer a comprehensive view of our cultural heritage. The photography collection at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center includes examples of 19th and 20th century photographic materials that can serve these purposes and also support the study of the history of the medium itself. How to Find PhotographsPhotographs held by Archives & Special Collections are part of archives and manuscript collections.
