Sargent and Company

Sargent and Company of New Haven, founded in 1864, produced builders hardware, locks and hand tools for carpenters and mechanics. In 1967 the company was bought out by Walter Kidde & Company and renamed Sargent Manufacturing Company and in 1989 was purchased by a company in Sweden.
